Both shifters offer shorter than stock throws and also make shifting much more precise preventing you from missing gears. We've run both of these shifters in our shop cars with great success even running a 9.7@150mph in our 2015 GT with the stock MT-82 transmission.

The race spec shifter connects to the back of the MT-82 transmission and replaces the Ford shifter linkage and includes firmer bushings to give the feel and performance of a top loader transmission.
